Blue Jays in the Backyard

I was sitting in a chair outside reading when I noticed two Blue Jays in the backyard. One was female, the other male. The male one was flying all around the yard looking for food while the female just sat around. It was funny to watch. He would climb all over our cherry tree and grab cherries and place them between his two claws and use his beak to poke the cherry and shallow the food. It was fascinating to watch. They seemed to chew their food at alarming rate.

One time the male Blue Jay flew away and the female just chilled on the fence for around 5 minutes just sitting there minding her own business. Then all of the sudden the male Blue Jay would start squawking from somewhere and the female would fly off and go looking for him. Another time the male was sitting on the fence eating a cherry and the female was on the ground squawking up at him.

They seemed to not have a care in the world. They would just do there job because it needed to be done. One went and searched for food the other stayed home and both learned to communicate with each other.

XIVth

I have been "busy" getting ready to live down in Ashland. Packing up things, buying things, moving things, unloading things. etc. I got to see my aparmetn for the first time on Wednesday and it looks pretty good. A nice fit for us three.

Wednesday was my sister's birthday. she turned 17! So this a belated happy Birthday Molly! I said it in person already. It was fun! We watched The Ulimate Gift which was good/pretty good. Played a game, ate some cake and ice cream. Saturday is my mom's birthday. Yipee! More food and ice cream.

I am right listening to music by this composer, Justin Durban. He writes his own music and divides into different styles, like epic, drama, action, etc. He is pretty good and he lets you download it. Very neat!

I am right now reading a book by Tim Downs called Head Game about how one of this guy's friends commits suicide and he doesn't know why? I just started it and it is pretty cool.

Tommorrow is Wash for life that i am going to go to and express my skills as an automoble cleaner. Hopefully someone can wash my car too.

So, what's new?

Well what is new in my life....

1.Well lets see, two other friends of mine and I are going to be moving down to Ashland sometime in September to go to SOU. I am kind of excited about this. Going to be out on my own with my own place and a ton more of responiblity. At this point in time we are gatering up all of our stuff and seeing what we need to get and what we don't need to get.

2.I am taking 4 classes at SOU for the fall term.

3. Last movie I saw in theaters was Stardust. Pretty funny movie! http://www.christianitytoday.com/movies/reviews/2007/stardust.html

4. Newest cd I have gotten is by a band called Paramore.

5. Book I am reading now is called "Hood" by Stephen R. Lawhead.

So there's some new stuff for ya!

Here is us guys playing some Rummy. I won! We we all drinking milk and eating cookies. Before this we were outside playing Volleyball that we had rigged up between two trees on the Mormon's church lawn. We tried really hard to screw up there lawn as much as possible. :) Casey and I beat Toby and Jeremy in Volleyball!

Lightning Crashes!

This is a picture I took last night during the really cool thunder storm! I was out there for about 45 minutes waiting for a good flash and when I thought it was over I would put the camera away. Then all of a sudden a bright flash would happen....and I would be like take a picture, take a picture! That happened a couple of times. Oh well, this is the best picture I took.

Here we are outside playing with River. We were trying to teach him to catch and throw the Frisbee, but he wasn't too goo at it. I taught him how to open his arms wide like an alligators mouth, but he could not quite catch the Frisbee every time. Most of the time he would just run around in the grass having a good time.

Here is a great picture with Jeremy and I getting to hold our niece and nephew. We had to sweep them up before they realized what was happening. They were a little scared around us, Felicity more so than River. River was really rowdy and crazy around us, with Jeremy the most.
