Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

My Epic Poem :)

I found myself starting to write this "epic" poem probably about a year or so ago...

Prologue:
This Tale has been going on since the beginning of the world
At the dawn of the new age you must always choose your lord
Whether to serve with humility, he of Light
Or to follow he who loves the Night

Two worlds have separated them since time began
One above yonder and one who dwells in the Underland
Raging back and forth through time and space
The fight is drawing to the end of every race

He lives under the ground with his minions
Waiting for the day to take dominion
With his cloak of Fear and vicious red eyes
Calmly lingering for that day he would arise

He lives above in the sky beyond
With his forces in a unity bond
His eyes are cool blue, his hair silver white
Wondering if things will ever be right

When the time comes and the battle draws near
The forces will line up in full battle gear
Those following him of Light will carry bronze shields
With lightning in their footsteps and crystal swords, they shall yield
Those following him of Dark will support fierce black spears
Alongside with crimson red shields they shall hold near

I have more, but this is just a teaser. Tell me what you think.

It Came to Mind

Still and quiet canine form
In the Sun, asleep and warm.
His tail is limp, His
Whiskers drooped
Man, what could make
This dog so pooped?

11:45

I wrote this poem that I thought made sense
Then realized I was talking nonsense
So I sat down to rewrite it and found
The making of a perfectly good sound

If you tap your toes and clap your hands
You may soon find yourself in the making of a good band
If you stomp your feet and snap your digits
You may find yourself shorter than some midgets

As this sound floated through my head I wondered
Could this be true or was the sound thundered
I arose from my desk fully alive
Then asked myself why am I up at 11:45?

The Value of a Friend

Two are better than one
They refine each other under the sun
Through speech and conduct they grow
Stronger, closer, never to be brought low

Two are better than one
When battles rage they shall be won
For if one should fall
His companion will answer his call

Two are better than one
What they combine can't be undone
When Jesus is the foundation
They will surpass expectation

Two are better than one
All that once started will soon be done
Earth's pain and anger will end
Then we shall behold the truest of friends

Welcome 2007.........Goodbye 2006

Welcome to 2007
We are that much closer to heaven
Today is the start of something new
Tomorrow you will know something you never knew

Goodbye 2006
We thank you for the endless mix
Of fun and games and wonderful joy
to Ultimate Frisbee and playing with a toy

Welcome to 2007
Things are just getting better since 1911
Before we had nothing(so it seemed)
But now we are blessed because we are in God's team

Goodbye 2006
May we ever say without any ticks
That God is the sole reason I exist
To bring Him glory and honor from my lips
Happy New Year to you and your kin
May we always love God and hate sin
