Wednesday Poem

Tall as a white pillar in the sky
Made to climb, to soar, to fly
Make a wish upon a star
For now we say goodbye

Wednesday Poem

Lights fly past in the blink of an eye
Seasons change before I say goodbye
Where does time go when it dies?
Between the ocean and the sky?

Wednesday Poem

I hear voices rise in exclamation
I see darkness roll on the horizon
My shadow walks ahead of me
Black shoes kiss the ground softly

Crickets chirp in a unanimous voice
Lights flash on and off without a choice
Four wheels race down an empty road
Going somewhere, I don't know

My destination lies beyond the bend
Green blades ready to defend
White posts stand facing the dome
Been at work, now i'm home

Wednesday Poem

11.59 with no time to waste
I must write something down post-haste
I grab a random photo that looks neat
And say a positive word like, mincemeat?

Wednesday Poem

Four colors paint the morning sky
I scan the horizon with my naked eye
The strokes come slow and steady
My canvas no longer white and ready

I start with red and blue
Followed by saturation and a bit of hue
Colors burst forth to start the day
It is no longer April, but May

Soon yellow and orange appear before me
From my palette they broke free
To join their family in the scene
Blended together with gray and green

Finally, my painting is complete
A few mistakes, but otherwise neat
Thank you God, for the heavens you made
A spectrum of colors arrayed

Wednesday Poem

Follow the path to the edge of the sun
Empty hands, broken, undone
Life is on the other side
The search has only just begun

Wednesday Poem

With my eyes open wide I can see
The light that shines from above and all around me
I close my eyes and whisper softly
"I don't want to wake from beauty"

Wednesday Poem

See me now falling from the sky
See me no longer up high
I once was a light shinning in the night
Now I have fallen in flight

Wednesday Poem

What makes up the colors of the sky?
Is it red, blue or green?
If I look with an open eye
I count more colors that has ever been seen

Wednesday Poem

On clouds I will ride
Through storms I will fly
Never grow faint shall I
For Thou art with me till I die

Wednesday Poem

Look up in the sky tonight
Count the many stars you see
Then name one after you and me
Then all will be right

Wednesday Poem

This wind where does it blow from?
Where does it start its journey, here?
Does it come from where it begins?
Or does it begin where life ends?

Wednesday Poem

Dark water ripples on a silent night
Two moons now compose the only light
I sit under a starless sky
And long for the sun to rise

Wednesday Poem

Darkness is the absence of light
Light pierces the black of night
The shadow hides from the sun
Just like the heart of everyone

Wednesday Poem

He is the ever present enemy
We cannot tame him with a clock
He cannot be trapped and put under lock
I know he will comsume you and me

Wednesday Poem

Three things I desire while I'm here
To hold a sunrise in my hand
To sleep in a meadow on land
To count the bright stars where I stand

Wednesday Poem

With a little time and a little skill
I paint a picture of absolute thrill

Wednesday Poem

There is a place that was designed
Beyond the imagination of our mind
It was created before time began
Far away in another land

Some say it does not exsist
Some say the place is a myth
Some say that they believe
But only with open eyes will you see

Wednesday Poem

I took a walk outside on the gravel street
Just My dog and me
I feel the rocks crunch beneath my feet
Just My dog and me
I look above and see the red horizon
Just My dog and me
I close my eyes and start to run
Just My dog and me
I feel the rush of the wind on my face
Just My dog and me
I find myself transported to another place
Just My dog and me

Wednesday Poem

I stand and look at the sky
I see it change from light to dark
The voice replies and hits the mark
"It is time to say goodbye"
